Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron has made a big statement about Islam. Macron has described Islam as a religion that is causing distress all over the world today. He made a speech in France to fight Islamic fundamentalism. This is not the first time that the macron has said these kinds of things about Islam.
Earlier, the French president has called Islam a bigotry and hatred. Out of the total population of France, about 60-65 lakh are Muslims. This year, eight months ago, President Emmanuel Macron had imposed a ban on the arrival of foreign imams in France. At that moment, President Macron said that the government has made this decision to stop radicalism and separatism.
He meant that the imams in France would be required to learn the local language i.e. French. He warned that those living in France would have to strictly adhere to the law. He also said that "There is a danger of fundamentalism and separatism in the country. We are against Islamic fundamentalism".
