Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron has been on the target of Muslim countries around the world since making a statement on 'Islamic terrorism'. Protests are being organized against him in many places. He had said in a recent interview about the radicals - all this will not work in our country. Macron has posted a letter on his Twitter, which he wrote after a media statement misrepresented him.
Macron wrote on his Twitter handle, 'We should not nurture ignorance by distorting the words of a head of state. We just know very well where leadership can be'. In a letter posted on Twitter, Macron said, "I have never used the term 'Islamic separatism'. I said in relation to Islamist separatism, which gives legitimacy to terrorists, which is the reality of France". Macron further said, "I want to make myself aware of the challenges and situation before my country."
He further said that in five years, France has faced many terrorist attacks in the name of Islam. 263 people died in these which includes teachers, police officers, soldiers, journalists, cartoonists and ordinary citizens. Recently, the old office of the magazine 'Charlie Hebdo' was attacked again. History teacher Samuel Patty was brutally murdered in a school. Two women and a man were murdered in the church in the Nice city.
Let us not nurture ignorance by distorting the words of a head of state. We know only too well where that can lead.https://t.co/nRlp1nHTQn
