France's foreign minister warned Turkish President over failed 'blank cheque'

Monday; July 18, 2016:France's foreign minister warned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan next to by his country's failed overthrow as a "blank cheque" to quiet his opponents

"We want the rule of law to work properly in Turkey," Jean-Marc Ayrault  said

Jean Marc comments came as Turkish authorities sustained a attack over the coup, arresting over 6,000 people blamed of participation in the putsch or of underneath the coup plotters.

Ayrault said, “The events of the past two days had raised questions about Turkey's "reliability" in the fight against Islamic State”

"There's (the question of) reliability on the one hand and, indeed, an element of suspicion on the other," he said
