There has been panic around the world about the new form of the corona, Omicron. On the other hand, a party of college students in Karnataka state has created a stir by taking the form of a super spreader. In fact, 281 people have been confirmed to have corona infection so far through those who joined the party here. This is the first super spreader event amidst the peace of the second wave. However, corona bombs have now started erupting in many other states of the country. Bengaluru is also on the list.

The Conference Party, which took place ten days ago at SDM Medical College in Dharwar city, about 450 kilometres from here, has now become a super spreader incident. It is said that 66 students and staff who joined the party were initially found infected, but now the number of infected due to this event has gone up to 281. Talking about the case, the District Collector said that the number of infected persons may increase as the results of a covid-19 examination of 1822 patients are yet to be ascertained.

Two hostels of this medical college have been sealed and holidays have been declared till Sunday. Apart from this, Hyderabad is also named. So far, 25 students and five teachers have been infected with corona due to the outbreak of infection at Mahindra University near here. The campus was closed here and 1700 students and faculty staff have been asked to stay isolated in their homes. It belongs to the private Vivi Tech Mahindra company.
