New Delhi: The month of November has started from today and like the first date of every month, this time too there have been some major changes in the country. Under these changes, where people have received the relief, there has also been a setback somewhere. From November 1, 2022, petroleum companies have given a gift by drastically cutting the prices of commercial LPG cylinders, on the other hand, a new rule has been implemented for people getting electricity subsidies in Delhi.

LPG cylinder price reduced:

The biggest relief change has been made in the price of LPG since Tuesday, November 1. In fact, IOCL has reduced the price of a commercial gas cylinder by Up to Rs 115. This is the sixth consecutive month that the petroleum company has reduced gas prices. Since May 2022, there has been a continuous reduction. Talking about the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in the metros of the country, the price of the 19 kg cylinder of Indane in Delhi has come down from Rs 1,859.5  to Rs 1,744.

OTP required for cylinder delivery:-

The second major change from Tuesday is also linked to the gas cylinder itself. Actually, the delivery process of domestic LPG gas cylinders has been changed. Lpg cylinders will be OTP-served from the first date of November. That is, it will be delivered under the one-time password process. Under this, after booking the gas cylinder, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number of the customer. It will have to be shared with the delivery boy and the delivery of the cylinder will be available after matching the system of OTP.

Insurers must provide KYC details:- 

Talking about the third major change, a major change has also been made by the insurance regulator IRDAI from November 1, 2022. Under this, it will now be necessary for insurers to give KYC details. So far, it is voluntary to give KYC details while buying a non-life insurance policy, but now it has become mandatory. This means that if the KYC documents are not presented at the time of the insurance claim, then the claim can be cancelled.

New rules of electricity subsidy:-

The fourth change has been made for Delhiites from November 1. If you live in Delhi and are taking advantage of a power subsidy, then this change is going to affect you. In fact, the new rule of electricity subsidy has come into effect in Delhi from Tuesday. Under this, those who have not registered will not get for subsidy on electricity. The last date to carry out this essential work was extended to October 31, 2022. Residents of Delhi have to register to get 200 units of free electricity every month. According to the report of PTI on Monday, about 40 per cent of the 56.98 lakh domestic consumers of the national capital Delhi have decided not to take electricity subsidy i.e. their applications are not received till the last date.

These changes in the rules of GST returns:-

Talking about the fifth change, the rules of GST returns have changed from November 1. Now taxpayers with a turnover of less than Rs 5 crore will have to write a four-digit HSN code in the GST return. Earlier, a two-digit HSN code had to be entered. Earlier, it has been made mandatory for taxpayers with a turnover of more than 5 crores to enter a four-digit code from April 1, 2022, and then a six-digit code from August 1, 2022.
