From working on Punjabi films to making mark in mainstream cinema, Pran Sikand story is very inspiring. He was born on 12 February 1920 in Old Delhi, British India. Pran belonged to a middle-class family., Pran went to Lahore to start his career at the age of 19. After working in about 22 films in Lahore, when India and Pakistan separated in 1947, Pran had to return to India. then came to Mumbai. After struggling for a year with the help of well-known Urdu writer Saadat Hasan Manto and actor Shyam, he got work in Bombay Talkies' film Ziddi.
Pran became popular from playing negative characters. He has orled with some A-lister actors such as Amitabh Bachchan in the film 'Zanjeer', Pran won the hearts of the public by playing the character of Pathan Sher Khan.
