Former police constable Uday Krishna Reddy from Prakasam district achieved the 780th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023. Reddy's journey to this remarkable accomplishment began with a significant moment of humiliation in 2018. During that time, while serving as a constable with the AP Police, he was publicly insulted by a Circle Inspector in front of approximately 60 policemen over a personal dispute. This incident deeply wounded Reddy, leading him to resign from his job on the same day.

Determined to forge a new path for himself, he made a firm resolution to pursue his dream of becoming an IAS officer. Reflecting on his decision, Reddy stated, "Even though it was not my fault, the CI insulted me in front of others out of personal grudge. I resigned from the job. I took a vow to become an IAS officer. From that year, I started preparing. In my fourth attempt, I secured the 780th rank." Following this incident, Reddy dedicated himself wholeheartedly to preparing for the UPSC exam, driven by his aspiration to become an IAS officer. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the UPSC Civil Services exam result 2023 on its official website. Candidates who appeared for the examination are advised to verify and download their results from the official website.
