Today Kajol and Ajay are among the most loved couple but once they were labeled as an ‘unlikely' pair because of their contrasting personalities. The duo met each other on the sets of their 1995 film Hulchul.  After the sudden demise of actress Divya Bharti, Kajol bagged the project after the film. The two later dated for almost 4 years but hid their relationship from the public. They got married on February 24, 1999, at their Mumbai home and went to a two-month-long honeymoon to Europe.

Ajay Devgn once himself confessed during an interview that Kajol was not his love at first sight, but this love started with hatred. Kajol's nature is very jolly. In such a situation, she used to have a lot of fun on the set.  Ajay is a very calm person Ajay used to hate all this. After this, he did not even want to meet her again.

At that time Ajay was having an affair with Karisma Kapoor during this film. During the shooting of this film, Kajol used to tell Ajay about her ex-boyfriend.
