Karwa Chauth is a Hindu festival for married women in North India, in which they observe fast from sunrise to moonrise for a day for the safety and long lives of their husbands. Various Bollywood actresses celebrate the auspicious occasion.
On Thursday, Sunita Kapoor hosted a Karwa Chauth get-together at her house, which was attended by Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Padmini Kolhapure among others. Sunita shared pictures from the bash featuring the likes of Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and several others, all decked up for the festival. Sunita Kapoor also shared a picture of herself with Shilpa Shetty posing together. Sunita wore a multicolored lehenga while Shilpa donned a stylish red saree.
Sunita sharing the picture took their social media and wrote, “I've always believed that festivals are about belief, faith and tradition. Karwa Chauth isn't just a day of fasting for your husband's long life, it's also a day for women to come together to celebrate each other. So wherever you are, and whatever your belief and faith might be, I hope you have a day filled with love, warmth and celebrations!”
As soon it catches the eyes of people they started showering their love on them. One user wrote, “Beautiful ladies,” commented one. Another wrote, “Happy bhabhis of Bollywood.” Sunita hosts this get together of the fasting wives of Bollywood, including much of her extended family, annually. It is almost always a high-profile star-studded affair.
Shilpa Shetty also shared a video on Instagram where the 'KC gang' is seen circling around a table and singing a traditional puja song. Documenting the "Karva Chauth puja", Shilpa captioned the video, "A very Happy Karwa Chauth to everyone fasting and celebrating today! May you and yours be blessed with a bond filled with love, trust, friendship, and laughter. Thank you so much, @kapoor.sunita, for hosting the #KCGang SO wonderfully every year."
