Thane, In a shocking incident, a furnace in an industrial unit exploded in Kudavali MIDC at Murbad taluka, due to which one worker was killed and two others were seriously injured.

According to police, “incident took place on Sunday. Due to the blast, molten iron from the furnace fell on the workers. One of them, Ramesh Gullusingh Kushwah 35, died on the spot, while two others received serious burn injuries”.

Police registered a case against company's owner Vishal Bushan and two others under relevant section sections of IPC including 304 A (causing death by negligence), 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others).

Till now, no arrests has been made in connection with the incident.
