New Delhi: Work from home culture has started many good business days amid global epidemic coronavirus. Facemask, sanitizer, vacuum cleaner, etc. are being sold out, meanwhile, the furniture business is seeing a very good growth. Due to the need of work from home, online classes etc. at home, there is a great demand for study / computer tables, office chairs etc.

Ashish Shah, the co-founder of furniture brand Pepperfry, claims that the demand for tables and chairs increased by 175 percent and 135 percent respectively in June this year as a proportion of last year. Subodh Mehta, Senior Vice President, Godrej Interio, says, "Sales of office furniture have increased by 15 per cent. Most people are now doing work from home, very limited people are going to the office. Therefore, it has become necessary for people to have a proper work station at home.

According to a recent report by the Retailers Association of India, there has been a tremendous increase in the business of furniture industry. Let us tell you that 90 percent of India's furniture business of about $ 30 billion is in the unorganized sector. Many carpenters became unemployed due to the Corona lockdown. But the business of organized sector is coming up.
