New Delhi: Congress G23 leaders were successful in pushing their demand to revive the party's Parliamentary Board at the Udaipur Chintan Shivir,  party sources said.

"The Congress Party Parliamentary Board will be constituted, as desired by G23 leaders," the source said.  A crucial Congress panel at the party's Chintan Shivir here has endorsed private sector reservation and indicated support for caste census demands.

The party's social justice group stated it will advocate reserving 50% of seats for weaker sections at all levels of the organisation, including the Congress Working Committee. It is also leaning toward recommending OBC reservations in the legislature and the assembly.

Organizational reforms are needed, according to Congress leaders Salman Khurshid and K Raju, to reaffirm the party's commitment to the welfare of SCs, STs, OBCs, and minorities. The Congress Working Committee will evaluate the panel's suggestions before making a final decision. Meanwhile, party sources said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will go from Kashmir to Kanyakumari next year, with the majority of the journey being a 'Padayatra.'
