Libreville: In the wake of a military coup in Gabon, the country's opposition has issued a fervent plea for the international community to exert pressure on the junta, led by General Brice Oligui Nguema, to relinquish power and reinstate civilian governance. The junta, which seized power on Wednesday, has dissolved the government, suspended the constitution, and declared Nguema as the head of state.
