Since the announcement of the sequel to the superhit film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, fans have been waiting with bated breath to see the teaser. Every time a photo from the set of Gadar 2 was revealed, the degree of enthusiasm among all fans rose. The first installment, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, was recently re-released in theaters ahead of the sequel's debut. Today, the makers made sure to transport spectators back in time with the release of the Gadar 2 teaser, in which Sunny comes back his role as Tara Singh fighting against the Pakistanis.
The teaser makes it obvious that the story of Gadar 2 takes place in 1971. The Crush India movement is in full swing in Pakistan, including anti-India rallies. In the midst of all, the masculine Tara Singh appears in his intense Tara Singh avatar. Sunny is dressed for battle, complete with a full beard, kurta pajamas, and a turban around his neck. Although we didn't see Sakina (Ameesha Patel) in the teaser, we did hear a little bit of the popular song Udd Ja Kale Kawa in the end.
Meanwhile, the makers of Gadar 2 published the first look poster on January 26th, 2023. Sunny Deol said that the film will be released in theaters on August 11, 2023. He wrote, “Hindustan Zindabaad Hai….Zindabaad Tha.. .aur Zindabaad Rahega!This Independence Day, we bring to you the biggest sequel in Indian cinema after two decades. #Gadar2 releasing in Cinemas on 11th August 2023.”
