Jaipur: Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has unveiled plans to reduce the travel time between Jaipur and Delhi to two hours through the development of electric cable highways. He made this announcement during a campaign rally in Jaipur, where he was supporting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from the Jhotwara Assembly constituency in Rajasthan.

Gadkari elaborated on the electric cable highway project, highlighting its potential to offer a quicker and more cost-effective transportation option. The initiative aims to enable passengers to travel from Jaipur to Delhi in two hours, with a fare that is 30% less than diesel buses.

During his speech, Gadkari reflected on past achievements, including the successful reduction of travel time from Delhi to Meerut. He emphasized the positive impact on connectivity and economic development. The minister shared anecdotes about people traveling from Meerut to Delhi for ice cream and expressed his desire to encourage similar interactions between Jaipur and Delhi.

Gadkari expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support of the people, attributing the success to the full majority given to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the country. He debunked stereotypes about the party, stating that it is not a family-centric political entity but rather a platform that provides opportunities to individuals from various backgrounds.

The minister highlighted the BJP's overarching goal, emphasizing that their aim extends beyond changing the rule to addressing fundamental issues such as hunger, poverty, and unemployment in the country. Additionally, Gadkari conducted a roadshow for Diya Kumari in the Vidyadhar Nagar assembly constituency, expressing confidence in her victory and predicting a majority for the BJP in Rajasthan.
