Today, the confluence of two Ganga Yatras which took the stream of faith from Patiala to Ballia and Bijnor will take place at the Ganga barrage today. On this unprecedented occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will welcome the yatra. After this, there will be a grand aarti and Ganga Pujan at the Atal Ghat. There will also be a closing ceremony of a Ganga Yatra at Nishad Park, which will be addressed by the Chief Minister. Many ministers will be involved on this occasion. However, the arrival of Home Minister Amit Shah and Governor Anandiben Patel has been canceled due to some reasons.

According to media reports, from the Ganga barrage to the Atal Ghat has been specially decorated for this event. Special lighting and cleaning has been done all around. Major arrangements have also been made for security. Ganga Yatra coming from Bijnor will reach Ganga Barrage from Bithoor at 11 am. The journey coming from Ballia will depart from Shuklaganj and will reach Atal Ghat at 12:10 via various ghats of the city. It is here that both the visits will meet and the Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Water Power Minister Dr. Mahendra Singh etc. will be welcomed with them.

Shaheen Bagh demonstration: Additional force deployed to prevent any kind of violence

On Thursday, the police and administrative officials reviewed all the preparations. Force has been deployed at the venue, boat club, and Atal Ghat. ADG Jayanarayan Singh, Divisional Commissioner Sudhir M Bobde, IG Mohit Aggarwal, DM Dr. Brahmadev Ram Tiwari, SSP Anant Dev Tiwari, Municipal Commissioner Akshay Tripathi, ADM City, and other officials inspected the venue.
