The Election Commission is also keeping a close watch on the situation here in view of the ongoing demonstration in Shaheen Bagh regarding the Civil Amendment Act. Commission officials are reviewing every activity here. There is also a plan to deploy additional forces during the election. The commission has reviewed the entire matter with police officers and election officials.

In a press conference held in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) about this demonstration, Special Police Commissioner Praveer Ranjan said that Delhi Police will do everything which will be necessary for peaceful elections. The police are constantly talking to the protesters and efforts are on to convince them. On the initiative of CEO Dr. Ranbir Singh, many company forces have been called for election from outside. Those who will be deployed in other sensitive areas including Shaheen Bagh. Three such areas have also been identified, where the DCP will march with the police force itself. So that the voters cannot be disturbed in any way. Preparations have also been made to provide an alternative route to the officials and voters.

There will be a total of 2680 polling stations and 15750 booths in Delhi. According to the CEO's office, a total of 3706 polling booths have been declared very sensitive in 516 places. On January 7, 3209 such highly sensitive booths were identified at 465 places. In this way, the number of sensitive booths has increased this time. Three complaints of violence have also been received regarding the election.
