There are many places in the world, which remain mysterious due to some reason. Even visiting such a place is not free from dangers. One such place is in the ancient city of Herapolis in Turkey, where there is a very ancient temple. It is said about this time that there is a 'gate of hell' here, the one who is far away, the one who passes away, never came back. It is said that people come from humans and animals to die as soon as they come in contact with this temple. Till many years ago this place remained mysterious because people believed that the people who came here were dying due to the poisonous breath of the Greek god. Due to the continuous deaths here, people started calling the doors of this temple as the 'gate of hell'.

It is said that even in Greek and Roman times, people were afraid to go here due to fear of death. However, the mystery of the mysterious deaths of people has been solved by scientists. Scientists believe that poisonous carbon dioxide gas is continuously leaking out from under the temple, due to which humans and animals and birds die. The death of whoever goes here is certain.

According to research by scientists, a large amount of carbon dioxide gas has been found in the cave below the temple. While usually, only 10 percent of carbon dioxide can put any person to death in just 30 minutes, the amount of this poisonous gas inside the cave here is 91 percent. Surprisingly, the steam emanating from inside the cave kills insects and animals and birds. This place is very foggy and dense due to being completely filled with steam, due to which the land is hardly visible here.
