This fort was built between 1540 and 1545. Hundreds of tunnels were built here so that they could be safely pulled out in times of trouble. It is said that the secret of these tunnels was known only to Sher Shah Suri and his trusted soldiers. A tunnel from this fort leads to Rohtas Garh Fort, but no one knows where the other tunnels go. Sher Shah's prized treasure is also hidden somewhere in this fort, but he could not find anyone till date. The network of tunnels and cellars is spread in the fort in such a way that people are still afraid to go inside.
