New Delhi: Former Indian opener and current BJP MP Gautam Gambhir has resigned from the post of Director of Delhi District and State Cricket Association (DDCA). He was a nominated director in the DDCA on behalf of the government but has now opted out of the state cricket association. Gambhir's close aide said that this Indian cricketer thought for the players of Delhi and wanted to do a lot but in the DDCA, some decisions were taken which he was against.

Not only this, he made several recommendations for the betterment of players, most of which were ignored. Apart from this, after becoming MP, his responsibilities also increased, so he thought that it would be better to move away from here. After winning the DDCA election, Secretary Vinod Tihara had said that Gautam Gambhir will take a decision on issues related to cricket in the state association. According to the constitution of DDCA, three directors are appointed by the government here, one of whom was the former Delhi captain Gambhir.

A close aide of India's World Cup team member Gambhir said that as soon as Sourav Ganguly decided to become BCCI President, he said the first thing about first-class cricketers because a cricketer knows which side to take. Gambhir also wanted to do the same for Delhi cricketers. Let us tell you that Gambhir is often very vocal on cricket and other related issues.
