Apurva Asrani, the writer of the Bollywood movie 'Aligarh,' has announced to part ways with her long-time partner Siddhant. Apurva has announced this through social media posts. Both dated each other for 14 years, which Apurva called 'important' and 'valuable.'
Apurva shared a note on Instagram and wrote, "I inform you with a heavy heart that Siddhant and I have split up. I know that we have seen many role models in the LGBTQ community and are sure that this disappointment will thrive, but I want to tell you that every day of these 14 years has been special and valuable and we have separated in a friendly way."
Apurva, who completes the story of the web series 'Criminal Justice 2,' also said, "Both of us are the first generation in India who put their love with courage in front of people. I think there are expectations. For the principal, For me, and for everyone who wants love, commitment, and a safe relationship. Don't stop believing."
Loyalty is not gray: According to media reports, Apurva posted a post in his Insta story on Saturday morning. "Loyalty is not gray," he wrote. It can be black and white, you are completely loyal or not loyal." The couple celebrated Valentine's Day together on February 14 this year. This year, their relationship was completed for 14 years.
Years ago, they caught each other's hands: Apurva wrote a note earlier this year sharing a photo with Siddhant. It was 14 years since we first handed over to each other. We fought for a law that made us speak to the perpetrator, a society that rejected us, and we found a solution to our troubles without role models or family support. We hope that after the implementation of 377, India will be for the LGBTQ couple."
