New Delhi: Corona havoc has increased so much today that its effect is being seen on everything in the country, while now the effect of corona is gradually visible on the economy of the country. For the Modi government, two negative reports have come together on the economy front. On the one hand, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has slashed the GDP growth estimate for this year i.e. 2020 for the year, while according to a survey, manufacturing activity has slowed down in the month of February.

Reduction in GDP estimates due to Corona: According to information, the Global Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) reduced India's gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate estimate to 5.1 percent for the year 2020. Earlier the OECD had estimated it to be 6.2 percent. This step has been taken in view of the impact of the dangerous coronavirus on the domestic as well as the global economy.

What OECD said: It is also being said that OECD said that in view of confidence, financial market, adverse impact on travel sector and disrupting supply chain, all G20 countries reduced growth rate for 2020 has gone. The rate of economic growth has been reduced, especially of those countries which are connected with China. India is a member of the G-20, a group of developed and developing countries. According to the OECD's Interim Economic Scenario Estimates, India's real GDP growth rate is estimated to be 5.1 percent in the financial year beginning April 1, 2020 and it may improve to 5.6 percent in the next financial year. The latest estimate for the financial year 2020-21 is 1.1 percentage points lower than the November 2019 estimate.
