New Delhi: Ritika Phogat, sister of renowned Wrestler Geeta and Babita Phogat, has committed suicide due to a defeat in the final match of a wrestling tournament. Ritika was maternal sister of Gita and Babita. Talking about  the Ritika Phogat that she could not bear the grief of the defeat in the final of the wrestling tournament , which led to happen this. She participated in the state sub-level junior, junior women and men wrestling tournament. The tournament was being played at Lohagarh Stadium in Bharatpur, Rajasthan.

In the final match of the tournament between March 12-14, Ritika lost only one point. Then she went into depression and then she ended her life. It is reported that Mahavir Phogat, the father of Gita and Babita and the Dronacharya Awardees, was also present at the tournament site. The ' Dangal ' film was also made over the Phogat sisters, in which Aamir Khan played the role of Mahavir Phogat.

Ritika also wanted to earn a name in wrestling like Gita and Babita, and she was also working hard for it. Ritika tied the scarf in the fan and hanged on it. The body of Ritika Phogat has been handed over to the family after the post mortem and the police is investigating further. Let's say that Vinesh Phogat, another cousin of Gita and Babita, is also among the contenders for the Tokyo Olympics and is among the best freestyle Wrestlers in the country.
