Baran: While delivering a speech during the celebration of the "Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Olympics Khel 2022," Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced development measures totaling more than 100 crores for the residents of Rajasthan's Baran district.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot officially opened and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 149 crore during his visit to Baran on Thursday. The Chief Minister urged the Central Government to carry out the current public welfare programmes in Rajasthan across the nation and reaffirmed the demand to designate ERCP as a national project during the Thursday event in Baran honouring the winners of the Rural Olympic Games.

The initiatives covered a range of construction projects in the fields of higher education, medical, water resources, and highways. The Chief Minister said, the NTPC property in Baran was built during the prior administration. He continued, "Work is currently being done to build a dam on the Parvan river in the district.

"The opening of Anta's college building, which cost Rs 6 crore, is included in the development works. laying the foundation stone for the Rs. 4.50 billion Government Girls College in Atru. Also, the government would invest Rs 4.50 crore to lay the cornerstone for the Government College Kelwara (Kishanganj), among other projects "a press statement read.

The Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) should be recognised as a national project as soon as possible,  Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said. The availability of drinking water and irrigation water will be guaranteed in a significant portion of Rajasthan upon project completion, he said. The Prime Minister had supported the ERCP in speeches at meetings in Jaipur and Ajmer, he said.

Speaking to the residents of Baran, CM Ashok Gehlot said that the State Government consistently makes crucial decisions that are in the best interests of the average citizen. The state government's Chiranjeevi plan has made all medications and diagnostic tests available to the general public at no cost. Organ transplants, which are expensive procedures, are now covered by the government. Because of this, the average person no longer has to worry about pricey medical care.

To help the average man in this time of inflation, Gehlot recommended that Prime Minister Narendra Modi examine the Chiranjeevi Yojana and put it into effect nationwide.

CM Ashok Gehlot was accompanied on the dais during the occasion by Assembly Speaker Dr. CP Joshi, PWD Minister Bhajan Lal Jatav, Mines Minister Pramod Jain, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Ashok Chandna, and other delegates.
