Bayern Munich defeated Berlin Union 2–0 in the 26th round match of the German football league Bundesliga, thanks to Robert Lewandowski's 26th goal of the season. According to the news agency Xinhua, the host team started well in the match on Sunday, but they could not sustain it. Bayern hit back in the 18th minute to open the account but Thomas Muller's goal was declared offside in the VAR.

However, Bayern finally got success in the first half. Neven Subotic dropped Leon Joretzk into the box and the referee gave Bayern a penalty which was converted by Robert Lewandowski.

In the second half too, the visiting team maintained their control over the match and did not give much chance to the hosts. Union's team continued to strengthen its defence. Here too, he missed it in the last moments. In the 80th minute, Poward put Joshua Kimmich's corner kick into the net with a second goal for Bayern to ensure his victory.
