New Delhi: Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, who is on a two-day visit to India, has said that a number of agreements will be signed between India and Germany which will underline the broad and very close ties between the two countries. PM Narendra Modi welcomed Angela Merkel at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

She told the press that he felt happy when he came to India. She is here for the 5th ICG (Intergovernmental Consultation). Merkel said, 'We were given a warm and grand welcome here for which I want to thank PM Modi. This is my fourth visit to India and I am going to attend a very interesting event here. PM Modi was with her while she was talking to the press.

PM Narendra Modi was present along with German Chancellor Angela Merkel during the reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan. During this, Angela said that I am very happy to come to India, respect a big country and its diversity. Earlier, Merkel reached Rajghat and paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
