On the other hand, if you invest in this scheme, then you will not worry about money after retirement because you can get a pension of up to 10,000 rupees every month.

What is the Pradhan Mantri Vayu Vandan Yojana ?: If we talk about the sources, then about the government's Pradhan Mantri Vayu Vandan Yojana (PMVVY). Under the Pradhan Mantri Vayu Vandan Yojana, citizens are given a pension with a guarantee of eight per cent annual return for ten years. Pension under the scheme can be taken on monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly basis. Citizens of 60 years and above can invest in the scheme.

Pension will be available up to Rs 10,000: Let us tell you that in the last months, the government had announced to double the amount of investment in it. This will greatly benefit senior citizens. The investment limit has been raised by the government to Rs 15 lakh, whereas earlier it was Rs 7.5 lakh. Citizens will get a pension of up to Rs 10,000 per month. With this step of the government, the provisions of social security for senior citizens will be increased. As of March 2018, a total of 2.23 lakh senior citizens are availing this pension scheme. Whereas earlier 3.11 lakh senior citizens had benefited under the Senior Pension Insurance Scheme 2014. Earlier, the Prime Minister Vay Vandan Yojana was only from May 4, 2017 to May 3, 2018. Now the period of investment under this has been extended to 31 March 2020.
