Madrid the capital of Spain and is a huge city, it is easily possible to spend a whole holiday exploring, but there is also a lot you can see outside Madrid as well.
Lisbon
Walking through the old neighbourhood is what it’s all about, and there’s nothing much better than sitting up on the hills and looking out over the city and the ocean. Food is delicious and inexpensive. The nightlife is alive and well in Lisbon, with more bars than clubs.
Granada
Granada makes an ideal weekend break for those who adore the outdoors. It’s gorgeous mountains are ideal for ski trips and hiking. You can see the beautiful snow capped peaks from just about anywhere in Granada capital. Granada has the prettiest beaches. It is about a five hour drive or bus ride south of Madrid and makes a great weekend getaway year round.
Seville
You can walk to all the attractions and along the river, wander through the city and look at the brightly coloured buildings and bell towers. The cathedral is stunning. Open-air markets also appear throughout the week, so you’ll never lack things to see or do
Valencia
The main attraction is the beautiful beaches. It takes around 4 hours from Madrid. The aquarium is an incredible architectural wonder full of amazing creatures. Food in Valencia is not as expensive as in Madrid.
