New Delhi: Twitter India head Manish Maheshwari is scheduled to be questioned before an investigating officer at Loni police station today in connection with the assault and video viral of a Muslim elderly man in Loni, Ghaziabad. However, Twitter India has not yet responded to the mail. Manish Maheshwari's lawyer is said to be involved in the interrogation.
Manish Maheshwari has not directly contacted ghaziabad police in the case, so it is not yet clear whether Manish Maheshwari will reach Loni border police station today. According to sources, Manish Maheshwari was in Bengaluru till yesterday. In such a situation, the chances of them coming to Loni police station are very low. Police have sent notices to all the nine accused, including two Twitter India officials, in connection with the beating of Loni's Muslim elderly man. The two Twitter India officials to whom the police have sent notices include Manish Maheshwari, Dharmendra Chatur. Dharmendra Chatur is the Resident Grievance Officer of India of Twitter Inc.
Police had asked Twitter officials to personally record their statement at police station Loni Border on June 24 at 10:30 am. This stated,'See this letter as a notice to you. If you do not appear, the appropriate process of law will be considered as an attempt to generate resistance and thwart the investigation and further action will be taken under this'.
