Srinagar: Congress' woes are increasing in Jammu and Kashmir as well. Veteran Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad is also seen following in the footsteps of Punjab Congress unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu. In fact, the way Sidhu warned of the brick-to-brick rally, Azad has now taken the same route. After the mass resignation of all leaders close to Azad, his supporters have demonstrated their political strength by rallying in Kathua on Friday.

Meanwhile, Congress has sent a clear message to the high command that Ghulam Nabi Azad should be declared as the CM candidate in Jammu and Kashmir. In such a situation, the internal crisis of the party is deepening. Veteran Congress leader and former Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said the entire Jammu and Kashmir want Ghulam Nabi Azad to become the next chief minister. We want Azad Saheb to be introduced as the CM face of Congress. While the former Congress MLA Chaudhry Akram also said bluntly at the Kathua rally that Ghulam Nabi Azad will not take over the command of Jammu and Kashmir only then we can win, otherwise, we will not get even 12 seats in the state.

Chaudhary Akram himself expressed the possibility of endangering his seat and told Azad that we are in the Congress party because of you and you are our face. Former Congress MLC Subhash Gupta also said that we want Ghulam Nabi Azad to take over the reins of the party in Jammu and Kashmir. The only leader in Jammu and Kashmir is the one who can solve the issues of the state.
