Amritsar: Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi along with 30 people including his cabinet ministers have arrived in Pakistan on Thursday to visit Gurudwara Darbar Sahib. They reached the Gurudwara through the Kartarpur corridor. Kartarpur corridor connects Gurudwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan to Dera Baba Nanak Gurudwara in the Gurdaspur district.

In view of the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism, the Kartarpur corridor has been reopened for three days between the two countries, which does not require a visa to visit. The door was shut down for nearly 20 months because of the global epidemic Coronavirus. Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETBP) spokesperson Amir Hashmi said another Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) delegation reached Gurudwara Darbar Sahib.

Hashmi further said, 'India's Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi along with his cabinet members reached Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib from Kartarpur corridor with 30 people.' Mohammad Latif, Chief Executive Officer, Kartarpur Project Management Unit, said that the office-bearers and commissioner of the 'Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee,' Gujranwala gave a grand welcome to the Indian guests who arrived here a day before the birth of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev.
