After welcoming Khai together the year before, she and Zayn split up. Gigi gave followers a sneak peek at Khai's unique Peppa pig birthday cake as she celebrated her birthday.

Even though Khai wasn't in Gigi's photo, Zayn Malik was mentioned in the unusual post. With a few emojis, it said, "Our angel girl turned 2 today." Her statement was in response to online dating rumours about Gigi and actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

As of 2015, Gigi and Zayn were dating. In 2020, their daughter Khai was born. According to rumours, the two split up after a fight between Zayn and Gigi's mother Yolanda Hadid after Khai's birthday. This is not the first time Gigi has mentioned Zayn in relation to Khai; they are now co-parenting.

On Father's Day earlier, Gigi posted a photo of her daughter and the musician, referring to him as "Khai's baba" in the caption. There were no images of their faces. After asking the media to remove Khai's face from images, the ex-couple has refused to expose the child's face.
