Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal continues to be in the limelight every day. As soon as his song arrives, he is never interested in making it to the Punjabi chartbuster. There is a piece of news coming out related to them which is going to surprise you. Gippy Grewal has been denied entry into Pakistan from the Wagah border as he has been stopped at the Attari check post by Indian immigration officials. According to media reports, arrangements were made to welcome the singer at the border as he was about to leave for Kartarpur. 'He was to go to Kartarpur at 9:30 am and return to Lahore at 3:30 pm. Some reports say that Gippy was supposed to attend a reception at the Governor's House. He was also scheduled to visit Nankana Sahib before returning to India on January 29.'
According to media reports, Gippy Grewal has entered Pakistan along with 6-7 others on a two-day visit through the Wagah border, but he has been stopped at the Attari check post. He has said that 'He was also supposed to visit Gurudwara Darbar Sahib in Lahore and then he was scheduled to hold meetings at the Governor's House, leaving for Nankana Sahib the next day to pay respect to him at the Sikh shrine.' Sources had said that Gippy Grewal had held a long schedule of meetings in Pakistan, including film people, at the Governor's House to discuss the joint movie venture between the two sides.
People associated with movies, TV and theatre in Pakistan have criticised the Indian authorities for stopping Gippy Grewal. Comedian Iftikhar Thakur said that artists always build bridges between nations. "It is very sad that Grewal has been prevented from entering Pakistan like this.''
