New Delhi: Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of Animal Husbandry and BJP's firebrand leader in the Modi government, has been continuously raising the issue of population for some time. He has been consistently advocating for legislation to control the growing population in the country. On Saturday, when he was asked sharp questions about the population on a Hindi news channel, he was furious and left the interview in between.

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said in Moradabad on Thursday evening that the next agenda of the Sangh would be the Population Control Act. We have always been in favor of two children. When a channel was asked by Union Minister Giriraj Singh on this, he said that, this matter should not be viewed through the spectacles of religion and this law is necessary for the development of the country. Stringent laws like China should be brought on the population. Along with this, he has also demanded to take away the right to vote for the person who breaks the population law.

On this, when the news anchor has said that in South India, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, the fertility rate of women is much lower than in North Indian states. The fertility rate in these states is about one and a half percent. While the cow belt i.e. states of North India, especially UP-Bihar, has the highest fertility rate. Where BJP is in power. The BJP has been around for a long time in Bihar. Then why the government could not implement the law in Bihar?
