Chennai : Dharani is the youngest daughter of Satish and Gayatri couple from Besant Nagar, Chennai. The 13-year-old girl bought a cold drink at a nearby grocery store yesterday. Shortly thereafter, a red mucus came out of the girl's nose. Following this, the girl started vomiting and fainted. When Dharani's sister noticed this and brought her mother, the girl's whole body turned blue. He was shocked to see this and immediately admitted the girl to the hospital.

The doctors who examined the girl said that she had already died. Upon receiving the information, the police recovered the girl's body and sent it for autopsy. The police have registered a case against the girl and seized the soft drink and sent it to the laboratory. Police are investigating whether the girl died due to drinking soft drinks or some other reason.

Food items sold in all stores must have an expiration date. While there is a law that expired food items should not be sold or eaten, various stores do not follow it. Although stores are ordered by authorities to sell quality products, most stores do not follow it properly. Tend to be indifferent. Thus, the public is advised to be vigilant as such tragic incidents take place from time to time.
