A shocking incident comes to light from the National capital Delhi where a girl was repeatedly raped by several times by her Instagram friend. As per the information, a 19-year-old girl student was y raped several times over a year by her friend. The accused used to threaten to kill her.
As per the police official, The girl first met the man when she was underage, she went to the police when the accused started blackmailing her of sleeping with his friends. According to her complaint she met a guy named Abhishek who is a Gurugram resident, in July 2020 through Instagram. After their social media meeting, she met him first in a park in Gurugram. The girl said, "In September 2021 we met again in MGF mall where he took me to a guest house in DLF Phase-2 area where he raped me."
The girl is a student of BA's first year. After this incident the accused used to called call her to have sex with him. According to the complainant, the accused raped her several times in a hotel in Manesar. The girl in her statement said, "He started blackmailing me and once again raped me in September last year," As of now on the basis of her her complaint, an FIR was registered against the accused, Abhishek, under Section 6 of POCSO Sct as the victim was minor in 2020, and Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
According to a senior police officer, the victim was produced in a city court for her testimony under section 164 of CrPC. The official said, "We are conducting raids to nab the accused and he will be arrested soon.”. Police have began the search operation and further investigation is going on in the case.
