'Girls Will Be Girls' is a female dominated drama written and directed by Shuchi Talaati. The movie is exploring a complex mother-daughter relationship, and has a story related to their growing and declining age. 'Aid Ox Cinemas du Monde Grant' aims to support foreign movie makers who want to tell unique stories and are being managed by CNC and Institute Francais. In addition to Push Button Studios, 'Girls Will Be Girls' is being co-produced by Sanjay Gulati and Pooja Chauhan of Crawling Angel Films and Claire Chasgne of Dolce Vita Films.

Speaking about the honour, the director, Shuchi Talaati, said, "When I got the news from our French producer Claire Chesgne, I just couldn't take a look at the screen of my phone. Getting Add Six Cinemas do Monde for Girls Will Be Girls was one of my goals for years since I started writing scripts. But I've always spoken to myself that it's very competitive here and we probably can't get it. So actually achieving it was kind of a bit crazy. I shed tears and called my team to celebrate. Many incredible movies in the past have won it so it's a big recognition. And of course the grant amount is a huge incentive for us so that we can make the movie we want without any creative agreement."

Ali and Richa's production debut: According to media reports, Ali Fazal, co-producer and co-founder of Pushing Button Studios, added his thoughts and said, "Richa and I are thrilled that as new producers, we have made the right choice for our first production. We are grateful that claire and shuchi of our French co-producer, Dolce Vita Movies, helped us achieve this prestigious grant, making our first production Indo-French."

Claire Chesgne, owner of Dolce Vita Movie in France, said, "I am very happy that the film has been given Ed Ox Cinemas du Monde, a very competitive fund. For me it is also a reward for my participation in the development of the movie for more than 3 years. At the economic level, this grant will allow the movie to provide more access to the international market, especially in France and Europe. Fund production is 25% of the budget. The fund's upper limit is up to 250,000 euros. The script has arrived at this year's Jerusalem Script Lab and Berlinale Script Station. It was also presented at the recently concluded market, Gotham Week, which took place in New York this September.
