Washington: Corona has been wreaking havoc all over the world. The continues increases in numbers of the cases are increasing trouble for the world. According to Johns Hopkins University, the overall number of global cases has surpassed the 85 million mark, while the deaths have surged to more than 1.84 million.
The current worldwide caseload and death toll stood at 85,083,468 and 1,842,492, respectively, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE). The US is the worst-hit country with the world's highest number of cases and deaths at 20,626,686 and 351,453, respectively, according to the CSSE. India is in second place in terms of cases at 10,323,965, while the country's death toll soared to 149,435.
Meanwhile, the Serum Institute of India’s Covishield is likely to be first shot used in India’s vaccine drive, with the Drugs Controller General of India on Sunday formally waving the green flag for its use, along with Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin.
