Exciting news unfolds in the latest update of the quarterly passport rankings, revealing a six-way tie for the coveted first position in 2024, according to a recent CNN report.

Leading the Pack:
France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Spain have collectively clinched the pinnacle, granting their citizens visa-free or visa-on-arrival entry to an impressive 194 destinations globally. This remarkable achievement stands as the highest number in the 19-year history of the Henley Passport Index. Compiled by the London-based advisory firm Henley & Partners, the index relies on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

European Dominance in Passport Power:
While Japan and Singapore held the top spot for the past five years, the current top five signal a triumphant surge for Europe. Finland and Sweden, tied with South Korea, secure the second spot with seamless access to 193 destinations. Following closely, Austria, Denmark, Ireland, and the Netherlands claim the third position with access to 192 destinations.

Other Noteworthy Rankings:
Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, and the United Kingdom jointly occupy the fourth position, while Greece, Malta, and Switzerland secure the fifth spot. Australia and New Zealand have elevated their standings, now sharing the sixth position with Czechia and Poland. The United States and Canada, along with Hungary, are tied in seventh place, boasting visa-free access to 188 destinations.
