Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who is suffering from severe pancreatic ailment since the last one year, had "vomited some blood but had no chest infection.

state government spokesperson, Pramod Sawant, a on Monday said that Parrikar's health and parameters were stable "as of now".  He further said, "I met Chief Minister Parrikar and Dr. Pramod Garg as well. The doctor said that his health is stable and parameters are stable as of now. There was no chest infection, but he vomited a little bit of blood.”

Goa CM was admitted to the Goa Medical College on Saturday, to undergo upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Since February last year, Parrikar has been in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, US and Delhi. He had been recuperating in his house in Panaji ever since he returned from AIIMS in Delhi in October last year and had only recently started making a few public appearances.

Speaking on Parrikar’s condition, State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane who previously met Parikar had told reporters that the CM's "pulse, heartbeat, and everything is normal and there is nothing to worry about."  He had added that people should not believe in rumours on social media pertaining to Parrikar's health.
