Panaji: Goa is one of the most special places to visit. People must go for a walk here and enjoy both day and night time here. Two minor girls have been raped here in the recent past. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has reacted to the incident in the Assembly on Wednesday. In fact, he said, "Parents need to introspect on why their children roam the beaches at night after gloom.''

In fact, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was responding to allegations leveled against him by opposition MLAs in the Assembly last Wednesday. Let me tell you that the MLAs had alleged deteriorating law and order situation in Goa on the night of July 24 following the alleged rape of two minor girls at the popular Kolwa Beach in South Goa. CM Pramod Sawant said, "Ten children gone to a party in the middle. 6 out of 10 return home. The remaining two boys and two girls stay in all night. Parents also have to introspect when a 14-year-old girl spends the night. They should also take care of it.''

At the same time, he also said, "It is our responsibility as well. Because if the children do not listen to their parents, we cannot shift all the responsibility to the police.'' The opposition has also opposed the CM's statement on rape. Meanwhile, former Deputy CM Vijay Sardesai has said, "Goa has a brand image that anyone can walk around feeling safe till late in the night.'' Tell all of you that four persons have been arrested by the police in connection with the rape of two minor girls. The names of these people are Asif Hateli, Rajesh Mane, Gajanand Chinchinkar, and Nitin Yabbal.
