Panaji: Discussions have intensified regarding the fifth phase of lockdown. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has demanded to extend the lockdown for another 15 days. After talking to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, CM Pramod Sawant said that the graph of corona virus infection is increasing, there is a need to increase the lockdown for another 15 days.

However, CM Pramod Sawant has advocated further relaxation in Lockdown 5.0. He said that I have demanded the Home Minister to further relax the next phase of lockdown. The restaurant should be opened with 50 percent capacity and social distancing and many people are also talking about starting a gym. It is noteworthy that the fourth phase of lockdown ends on 31 May.

Before the end of this phase of lockdown, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the Chief Ministers of all the states and asked what should be done next. They have been discussed in relation to opening of economic activities and all concerns. Actually, the fourth phase of the lockdown ends at midnight on 31 May. In such a situation, Union Home Minister Amit Shah called up the Chief Ministers of all the states on Thursday evening and sought their advice regarding the future of lockdown. According to sources, Amit Shah wanted to know whether to increase the lockdown. Today Amit Shah is also discussing this matter with PM Modi.
