Goa govt presents Rs 25,000 crore budget,10 crores to build cowshed

Panaji: There has been a lot of political upheaval in the country, in the meantime, Goa CM Pramod Sawant on Wednesday presented a budget of 25,000 crores in which to make unauthorized houses into permanent,  loans for the tourism sector, pilgrimage scheme for senior people, for traditional businessmen and a mining corporation is promised. He said that his aim is to reach every house in the state. Sawant said, My government will sign an agreement with Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited. He has also promised to carry forward the excavation of small minerals like sand and stone.

Sawant further stated that he would assist individuals in promoting small businesses as well and to ensure a smooth process for leasing of mines for minor minerals, my government would bring amendments to the Goa Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1985. He told that government will also increase the grant permits for traditional sand mining.

In addition, Sawant has also promised to launch a tourism business support scheme, in which interest subsidy will be provided to all registered hotels and travel and tour operators on loans up to ₹ 25 lakh. According to the news received, this strategy of the government will benefit more than 2,000 hotels and more than 1,000 tour and travel operators. The Goa government has proposed Rs 10 crore to build a cowshed in the state. CM Pramod Sawant in his budget speech on Wednesday said that Rs 10 crore will be allocated for setting up a cowshed under the state government's 'Stray Cattle Management Scheme'.
