Panaji: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) is making lucrative promises to make its mark in Goa politics. Recently, the party has promised that if it comes to power, women from 3.5 lakh families in the state will be transferred Rs 5,000 directly to their accounts every month. TMC has named this scheme Laxmi Yojana. Now, in view of this, the congress, the opposition party in the state, has taken a dig at the TMC's plan and explained to them the state economy and asked where it would bring so much money.

Recently, party leader and former finance minister of the country P Chidambaram tweeted. In this tweet, he writes, "This is mathematics for which economics should be awarded the Nobel Prize. The one-month expenditure of 5000 per month to 3.5 women in the state will be Rs 175 crore. He further explained the account and said, "This means that this fund requires Rs 2100 crore in a year. After all, it is a 'small' amount for a state like Goa which had a debt arrear of Rs 23,473 crore in March 2020 last year.''

He finally said, 'God bless Goa!' or it should be said that God should save Goa. Goa is in the assembly elections next year. The BJP is currently in power here. As a result, Congress is pushing to win the upcoming elections, while the TMC has announced to contest here as part of its expansion drive.
