Gold and silver price boom was witnessed in Sarafa market of Indore before Karvachauth, which comes on Wednesday. Ahead of the festival of Karvachauth, there was good demand for gold and silver jewelry on Tuesday. According, to traders the sales were good, and a fall in the exchange rate of the rupee against the dollar has also helped. The price of gold was increased by Rs25 per 10 grams and silver by Rs 575 per kg. Gold was higher at Rs 52,525 and lower at Rs 52400 per 10 grams.
Silver sold at Rs 62,875 in high and Rs 62200 per kg in low. However, silver coin remained stable at Rs 750 per piece. According to local traders, due to the festival of Karvachauth on Wednesday, there was good demand for gold and silver jewelry on Tuesday. These days rural demand has also increased. In particular, silver is getting good sales, the effect of which is visible on its prices. For the last few days, the price of silver is seen to be higher than gold. Price hike of gold and silver are expected to continue for the next few days.
