New Delhi: In the bullion markets today i.e. on Friday, where the spot price of gold is showing up, silver has become cheaper than Thursday. Today, 24-carat gold has opened at Rs 51039 with a gain of Rs 336 per 10 grams. On the other hand, silver fell by Rs 818 to Rs 59967 per kg. As far as 23 carat gold is concerned, today it was sold at the rate of Rs 50835. At the same time, the price of 22 carat gold was Rs 46752 and the price of 18 carat gold was Rs 38279.

On Friday, gold is trading up by Rs 176 to Rs 50,876 per 10 grams in the futures market. However, on Friday, silver fell by Rs 17 to Rs 61,173 per kg. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the delivery gold contract in August rose by Rs 176, or 0.35 per cent to Rs 50,876 per 10 grams. It traded for 5,798 lots.

On the other hand, silver for delivery in September fell by Rs 17, or 0.03 per cent, to Rs 61,173 per kg, with a trade of 13,810 lots. Market analysts said that the recent futures buying by traders has strengthened gold futures prices.
