Payment of outstanding DA will be done this month
The Central Government had earlier said in the Rajya Sabha that Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) are outstanding for the Central Government employees and pensioners from January 1, 2020, while the outstanding DA / DR may be paid this month.

DA is paid in March and September
Dearness allowance and dearness relief is paid to central government employees and pensioners every year from January 1 and July 1 respectively and is paid in the months of March and September respectively. It is being told that on 10 October 2019 also The central government had increased the dearness allowance. At the same time, the government increased the DA by 5 percent. With this decision of the Center, the existing DA of the central employees was increased from 12 percent to 17 percent based on the basic payment, which came into effect from July 1, 2019. About 50 lakh central employees and pensioners benefited from this decision of the central government.

Increased salary will come
Due to this decision of the central government, now the salary of central employees and pension of pensioners can be increased. Apart from this, 4 percent increase in dearness allowance means that the monthly salary of central employees will increase from Rs 720 to Rs 10,000 per month.

It has also been decided in the meeting of the Union Cabinet on Friday that the joint secretaries of all the five ministries including the Ministry of External Affairs, Health, Civil Aviation, Finance and Commerce can give information about the coronavirus by holding a press conference every day.
