Pakistan's cricket team can play a series of four or five Test matches instead of three on the tour of England. Officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will hold a video conference on 18 May to continue the tour despite the covid-19 epidemic.

PCB sources said, "As per the current schedule, Pakistan has to play three Tests and three T20 Internationals in England tour but if the tour starts a little earlier in July, then the number of Test matches can be increased."

Sources said that if the West Indies are unable to tour England, the ECB may propose a series of four or five Test matches. In the meeting between the two board officials on May 18, topics such as when the Pakistani team will be on their stay in England in July, organizing matches at limited match venues and playing on empty stadiums will be discussed. PCB CEO Wasim Khan confirmed the video conference but said that the ECB has not talked about increasing the number of matches in the tour to be held from July to September. Khan said, "Things will be clear only after the meeting but we will take a final decision only after consulting our captains and coaches."
