In its bid to reconnect Indore to some new destinations and increase the frequency of flights from the city, Indigo, the best low-Cost Domestic Airline, will commence flights from Indore to Mumbai, Lucknow and Shirdi. These flights will be operated daily for which the company has already started booking it.
Hemendra Singh Jadoun, president of the Travel Agent Association of India, said that information has been received from the company, in which the company is going to operate these three new flights. It will start flights to Mumbai from 27 January and to Shirdi and Lucknow from 3 February next month.
The company previously operated flights for these three cities, but the same had been stopped due to lockdown. Earlier, due to the high incidence of corona in Mumbai, fewer passengers were traveling to Mumbai from Indore. However, after improvement in the condition, the airline companies are resuming and increasing flights to these destinations.
According to the flight schedule released by the airline company, Indore to Mumbai - Flight number 6SE 878 from January 27 onward this month, will take off from Indore at 9,20 am and will reach Mumbai at 10.50 am. Indore to Shirdi - Flight number 6SE 7193 will take off from Indore from February 3 next month at 2.40 pm and will reach Shirdi at 4.40 pm. Similarly, Indore to Lucknow - Flight number 6SE 7189 will fly from Indore at 9.50 am and reach Lucknow at 11.55 am from February 3 next month onward. On both Sirdi and Lucknow routes, the airline will operate its 72 seater aircraft, while on Mumbai route, it will operate Airbus 320.
