New Delhi: According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the monsoon is likely to hit the country's capital Delhi in 72 hours. The department said light rain is expected to start from Tuesday night. According to the department, there will be light rain in Delhi on Wednesday and Thursday and there will be some delay in the monsoon thereafter.

IMD's Kuldeep Srivastava has informed that the rains will bring down the temperature a little bit. It is worth mentioning here that the maximum temperature in Delhi on Tuesday was 40 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the capital delhi will continue to receive continuous rain for the next three days after Tuesday. According to information received from the department, light rain is expected in Delhi on 3rd, 4th, 5th July. Delhi is likely to get wet due to heavy rains on 6th and 7th july.

In East Rajasthan, parts of Gujarat, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, light to moderate rain is likely to occur. In some parts of Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala are likely to receive light to moderate rains.
